Rock Art by Maryam (Mary) Barker in Victoria BC
What started as just a fun experiment in the garden has now turned into a wonderful array of rock art and a very special stopping point for tourists visiting James Bay in Victoria BC, Canada. Locals often come by to see the latest addition in the garden. Grandparents bring the grandkids, kids bring their parents ...and through simple 'word of mouth' people just come by to see the creativity. Mary loves to see the smiles and this encourages her to do more and she wants to encourage kids to use their imagination.
ART THAT MAKES YOU SMILE...
My husband Steve has had a first release of his music on Mar 15 2023. It is the perfect type of music to go with my Rock Art in the garden!

It would be great of you can support him by listening so he can share it with the world. His music is beautiful and it will melt your heart.

The Daily Pebble
Art & Slate Quarterly
A refreshing, tactile escape from typical digital art. The artist elegantly transforms heavy gray slate into a storytelling canvas using only raw, found elements.
Meticulous craftsmanship meets playful composition. These unpainted pebble assemblages command full attention with subtle shadows and a striking sense of organic balance.
An extraordinary display of stone storytelling. Every whimsical piece relies entirely on gravity, placement, and the natural shapes of river-worn rocks.
